Cherry Blossoms

These are photos taken by me at Tidal Basin, Washington, DC on the 100th anniversary of Japan's gift of Cherry Blossom trees to the United States. Initially 12 varieties of 3200 trees were given, of which 2 are prominent: the Yoshino and Kwanzan. The Yoshino produces single white blossoms where as the Kwanzan produces pink blossoms.
